Undecidability of Equations in Free Lie Algebras
In this paper we prove undecidability of finite systems of equations in free Lie algebras of rank at least three over an arbitrary field. We show that the ring of integers Z is interpretable by positive existential formulas in such free Lie algebras over a field of characteristic zero.
متن کاملFree pre-Lie algebras are free as Lie algebras
We prove that free pre-Lie algebras, when considered as Lie algebras, are free. Working in the category of S-modules, we define a natural filtration on the space of generators. We also relate the symmetric group action on generators with the structure of the anticyclic PreLie operad.

A unital $C^*$ -- algebra $mathcal A,$ endowed withthe Lie product $[x,y]=xy- yx$ on $mathcal A,$ is called a Lie$C^*$ -- algebra. Let $mathcal A$ be a Lie $C^*$ -- algebra and$g,h:mathcal A to mathcal A$ be $Bbb C$ -- linear mappings. A$Bbb C$ -- linear mapping $f:mathcal A to mathcal A$ is calleda Lie $(g,h)$ -- double derivation if$f([a,b])=[f(a),b]+[a,f(b)]+[g(a),h(b)]+[h(a),g(b)]$ for all ...

My principal references are [Serre:1965], [Reutenauer:1993], and [de Graaf:2000]. My interest in free Lie algebras has been motivated by the well known conjecture that Kac-Moody algebras can be defined by generators and relations analogous to those introduced by Serre for finite-dimensional semi-simple Lie algebras. I have had this idea for a long time, but it was coming across the short note [...
